Tiers of Trouble
A Short Story
What could go wrong when your twin sister’s wedding is in your hands? For me, just about everything!
No one would guess we’re twins. I’m tall, dark, passively pretty. Krystene is petite, blonde and beautiful—and eight minutes older. She’s a girly girl, I’m not. But we got along together until high school. She got the dates, I got the pass by.
Now she’s getting married. I’m doing most of the work. And that would be okay—if I felt my efforts were truly appreciated.
Her list for me today was deliver her fields of flowers today and pick up the cake tomorrow—and do not be late to the rehearsal dinner tonight! Simple enough—right?
Well, it might have been had she informed she’d changed her mind about where she was holding this picnic! Here I am finally getting home at ten o’clock after retrieving most of her roses and delivering them to the right place, and I’m arrested for flower nabbing in my driveway!
So as I’m being carted away downtown, there’s Krystene on the front lawn, yelling, “You better have that cake at the club before the ceremony, Keryll! Or else!”
If they toss me in jail for stealing back her stupid roses, it’ll serve her right! Her ungratefulness makes me want to take that drawing I did of her and Matt for a wedding gift and wrap it around her neck!
Filled with humor, heart, and family drama, Tiers of Trouble is all about my trials with Krystene, twins though we are. Download it today and find out if I make it to Krystene’s wedding on time!
